Pathways Offered

A CTE pathway is a sequence of two or more CTE courses within a student's area of career interest. Pathways are designed to connect high school classes to college, industry certifications, and/or a career.

Dos Palos High School offers two pathways in the Business & Finance Industry Sector.

1. Business Management Pathway:
Management consists of planning, leading, and controlling an organization or effort to accomplish a goal. In the Business Management pathway, students learn entrepreneurship and business fundamentals, goal-setting, resource allocation, organizational structure and management techniques, economics, financial data, risk management, information technology, and supply chain management.

2. Financial Services
Financial services are an essential aspect of every business institution and organization. Students in this pathway investigate the field of financial management, including how it is impacted by industry standards as well as economic, financial, technological, international, social, legal, and ethical factors. Students formulate and interpret financial information for use in financial management decision making, such as compliance and risk management. This pathway may include programs of study for accounting, banking, securities and investments, and other financial specializations.

Computer Accounting

Period 4

This course is an entry-level accounting course emphasizing both computer-assisted and manual accounting methods. ​​​​​​​

Business Office 1

Periods 5 & 6

This course is intended for students seeking advanced knowledge in application software used in the workplace with emphasis on business situations.

Money Management & Investing

Periods 1 & 2

MMI is a yearlong course designed to deliver essential financial understanding in an engaging way.

Virtual Enterprise

Period 7

 Students will be able to better understand the economic world around them by covering subject areas such as, micro and macroeconomics, international economics, and entrepreneurship.
